Paul Schommer
Head of Development
Paul is an Olympic athlete with a background in biathlon, cross-country skiing and wrestling. He hails from the northeastern Wisconsin city of Appleton where ball sports reign king. With little options to get involved with endurance sports from a young age, he played soccer and wrestled. It wasn't until his sophomore year of high school that he was introduced to the sport of cross country skiing -- immediately he was hooked.
After high school Paul left Appleton for Duluth, MN to compete as a member of The College of St. Scholastica’s (CSS) Nordic Ski Team.
During his time at CSS, Paul became a student of his own training plan, always asking questions and gathering information whenever possible. Majoring in Chemistry, Paul took elective classes with the schools Exercise Physiology Department to understand the complexities of training. Frequently tested as a research subject and working beside graduate students, Paul was very involved in his training plan and propelled him to become the programs first ever NCAA All American in Nordic Skiing.

Since graduating from CSS, Paul has gone on to represent the US at multiple World Championships in biathlon and continues to compete as a member of the US Biathlon A team. Paul seeks to help aspiring athletes using the principles he has learned through his own athletic endeavors. With experience in skiing, biking, weight lifting, running and paddling, as well as returning to sport after multiple knee surgeries, Paul's wealth of knowledge is great for multi-sport athletes looking to stay fit in every season. Paul is SafeSport and Firearm safety certified.
